Perseverance- Since the capacity to assimilate is not the same among students a teacher might have to put in a little more effort than what s/he does for a good student. A teacher’s aim is not to produce the highest score achiever, but it is to take the whole class forward together.

Righteousness- A teacher needs to be an epitome of morals. S/he is a figure that students look up to which is why s/he needs to set the right example to a student.

Guide- Whenever a student is stuck; a teacher should be able to guide the student out of the dilemma. When in need, a teacher should appear to a student as a friend.

Teachers are required at all kinds of educational institutions- schools, colleges, professional courses etc.Many people may not be comfortable teaching school children but want to become teachers. Such people have the alternatives of becoming college and university professors. The higher up an individual wants to teach the more qualifications he or she requires. For college teacher’s jobs, it is mandatory to complete a PhD degree and clear NET examination.

For school teacher’s jobs, an individual needs to complete the B.Ed degree. The criterion that needs to be fulfilled for technical education based schools is different. If one is stuck with housework and cannot devote too much time to work, they can take up giving tuitions. Many people support their households by giving tuitions at home. Earlier, the salaries of teachers were not much and teachers mostly remained in the profession for their love of education. Nowadays, the pay scale is fixed by central and state government which is why teachers can live comfortably off their earnings. Being a teacher also has another perk- lot of holidays. School and College teachers get holidays during summer and winter vacations and most institutions are closed on Saturdays hence they get two days off in a week. Also, the work hours are quite comfortable.
